The reason why some folks see slow times for the C5, LS1 F-bodys and other cars is because of the drivers. I have heard of some slow and fast times for the cars at the strips. In January I traded my 96 Z TT in for a 00 WS6 TA 6spd. I dynoed my car bone stock at 306 RWHP in May this year. My 96 TT Z with intake, exhaust and boost jets for a 13-14psi boost dynoed last year at around 312HP, although at a different dyno. The ram air intake helps little on the dyno since the hood is open so the regular T/As dyno the same. The WS6 as well as regular LS1 98-00 F-bodys are on average alot faster than the Z TT stock vs stock. The C5 is at a tad faster as the LS1 F-bodys on average. Unfortunatly there is a difference between some production samples as some are quicker than others just like with the Z TTs. There have been reported LS1 dyno numbers from ananywhere between around the low 280s to around 315RWHP stock I'm a member of ls1.com and have to put people in check as to what modded Zs can do because some of those folks have seen slow times and or easily beat some modded Z TTs. I tell them that since I had a ZTT I can assure them that the driver makes the biggest difference. So one has to look at a variety of times in person as well as read a variety of times in mags to get a feel of overall what a car can do. As an example, one can not use just one sample test data for two cars as one may be a very slow number for one car and the other can be a very fast number for the other car. I do miss that 96 TT alot and am thinking about getting another Z TT.
